Our story:  The birth of Child Care Check, Inc.

After months of research we had finally narrowed down a list of child care providers that met our needs. We liked one particular daycare that was close to our home and within our budget range, so we interviewed the owner and toured the facility.  All the references that were called gave high praise.  It had been a long process and we were ready to be done with it, but we decided to dig a little more.

It was the worst kind of news for a parent to discover.  An infant had died in our potential daycare only six months earlier.  Although the cause of death was still pending investigation, we learned important information that the owner was operating out of compliance during and after the tragic incident by not having current CPR and her willingness to accept our infant despite a ruling not to accept children under the age of two.  This research turned out to have big consequences affecting our decision.  Needless to say we never went back.
